Child Focus, Inc. in collaboration with Clermont FAST TRAC, is bringing the first evidenced-based parent leadership and advocacy curriculum for Latino Families to Clermont County: Abriendo Puertas or Opening Doors, a program designed in partnership with Latino parents to support their role as their child’s first and most important teacher.
On February 11, 18 and 25, from 9am to 12:30pm parents of young children ages 0-6 will have the opportunity to come together to explore how to be strong advocates for their children and gain valuable information on parenting skills, child development, discipline and an introduction to the educational system. The program is available at no cost to families. Families will also have the opportunity to meet and network with other families in their community.
Lunch, babysitting and limited transportation are available. Clermont County residents, who complete all three classes, will also receive one $20 gift card per family. Classes will take place at the Child Focus Training Center (551-B Cincinnati-Batavia Pike Cincinnati, OH 45244). Please register by February 3 by calling Bersy Tudor at 504-9668 or 528-7224.
